Melissa Thompson is an executive with 25+ years' experience in Global Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. With an MBA from UT, Austin, Melissa has had a varied career in organizations from retail to technology to banking.  Currently, Melissa serves as Global Head of Talent Acquisition at Ford.

Prior to joining Ford, she was SVP, Talent Acquisition for media organization Neilsen, where she transformed the TA team to meet business needs for fast paced, innovative talent acquisition.

Prior to Nielsen, Melissa held the VP, Talent Acquisition role at McGraw-Hill Education.  During her tenure, she built the Global TA team from the ground up, including an improved user experience through implementing Lever ATS onboard and introducing Passport to Recruit, a manager training program.  In her career she has held recruiting leadership roles at Dell, Citrix, Siebel, and Lenovo. Melissa is an engaging, results-oriented, strategic leader who has a passion for how Talent Acquisition can drive business results.

Melissa is based in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex where she spends time with family and reconnects with friends from both college and high school.  Melissa is a farm-to-table restaurant aficionado and enjoys beach vacations.
