Meredith Fortney is the Senior Manager of Global Employer Brand & Digital Marketing for Asurion; based out of Nashville, Tennessee. In her role she leads all employer branding events, award submissions, the internal ambassador and referral programs, as well as oversees all recruitment marketing efforts through the Asurion careers website and social media. 

Throughout her career she’s held senior marketing and communications roles within the medical, construction, higher education, retail, manufacturing, and tech industries. Meredith completed her undergraduate degree in Mass Communications & Marketing at Auburn University (War Eagle!) and earned her MBA through Bethel University of Tennessee. She currently moonlights as an adjunct professor of Marketing for the Brandeis University GPS and Heller schools, Boston College’s Woods College of Advancing Studies, and Southern New Hampshire University.  

When she is not working or teaching, Meredith serves as the Communications chair for the Pride ERG at Asurion, as well as in a leadership role on the Board of Governors for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC); the largest LGBTQ+ advocacy group in the country, governing a local committee of volunteers that drives advancement of LGBTQ+ conversations, awareness, and change throughout the state of Tennessee. She is also an active volunteer for Nashville Pride and the LGBT Chamber of Commerce, among other community organizations. Meredith was part of the Nashville Emerging Leaders class of 2019 and has been nominated for the Nashville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 award for both her professional and community work in and around Nashville. Meredith resides in Nashville, TN with her with her wife, Alex, and their 3 dogs Cooper, Huckleberry, and Eros.
